If you don't mind, could you give the final price you paid on your T-bird and any accessories added?

I am going to bargain with the dealers here and a previous thread here gave some very useful insight on haggling on the OUT THE DOOR price...

Pedal, You're looking at a Storm I think. I purchased a new 2010 Bird SE ABS last October. I paid $12500 plus NC Taxes.

Talked to the triumph headquarters in atlanta today. the lady said Triumph is no longer doing the demo truck and the buyers must rely solely on the dealers to arrange for a test ride, given the dealers have a demo bike for the specific model of interest (in my case, 2012 T-bird or Storm). she called back after 2 hours to inform me that a dealer in VA may have both the demo bikes. The dealer is a 5 hour drive from where I live in MD.
If just taking a test ride of this bike is proving to be such a difficult experience, I am not sure if I want a Triumph anymore. Because tomorrow, the company can abruptly stop doing other normal things like offering dealer services or warranty on parts etc.
In a very disenchanted and frustrated frame of mind right now....

It seems to really depend on the dealer. I have one here close to me and they've never offered a test ride. However, the one that is an hour away from me is very eager to let you ride anything. The last time I was there they let me ride the brand new Tiger 800, as I was trying to figure out if I wanted it or a Thunderbird. They knew I wasn't ready to buy at that moment. When I returned from the ride, I was ready to head home, and he asked me if i wanted to ride the Storm again. He said since I was there, might as well ride them back to back. So he rolled a brand new Storm off the showroom and let me take it for a ride as well. I didn't buy anything that day, but I made up my mind then, that if they could come anywhere near the deal I could get elsewhere, I'd buy from them instead, because of the help they gave me. It just sucks that you don't seem to have dealers like this near you, but don't let it sour you on the brand. The HD shop near me won't let you ride any of their bikes...so it's not just a Triumph thing.

Good luck.
