They're ALL from third party companies. Read your own links. Honda, Victory, even HD use seperate/third party companies to administer and under-write these policies.

Read the fine print.

True ! But these are factory surpported heck Triumph could even give one to get ahold of! So being that you live in Fl like me could you give me the one you use or one that a FL dealer will use?

They are factory "approved". Not one nickel of factory money goes into these plans. I know, I had contacts with HD and Kawasaki, and once you get the actual contract, yopu can see who is administering/underwriting the program.

I don't have one on my Thunderbird [yet]. I always wait until just before the warranty is up to decide if I'll keep the bike, or buy something else.

I would think talking to one of the F&I people at your local dealership would get you the answers you are looking for.

I can't say that I'm too worried about the warrany. I've had no problems with the Speedmaster. From my experience with doing my own maintanence and the air box removal etc. these aren't terribly complicated machines.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I have decided to let the biks tell me what I want. First step will be to go and test ride the 2012, and that's planned for Tuesday.

And while I'm thinking of it....if I'm going to get a new one I plan on getting the folowing right out of the gate: QR sissy bar with rack, short TORS, saddlebags and a QR wind screen.
Any input on the options? There are two pads offered for the backrest. Is there really a difference? Midsize screen vs standard?

I tightened my coolant hoses. Took me 15 minutes. No leaks. My engine made really wierd noises for the first 400 miles...now it is smooth as can be. No problems yet.

If I remember correctly the material is slightly different between the factory seat and the long haul seat and one back rest pad matches one seat and the other matches the stock seat.

getting the options from the start will probably save you soem bucks as it seems most dealers offer a good discount on any items purchased with the bike. Just remember dont let the shop/dealer keep any of the parts they are changing. I have seen some of them try but they are yours and unless they are going to give you top dollar for them I suggest taking them home and safely putting them away.

DartGod so what did you decide? If you are like most of us the decision was made when you rolled on throttle !!
