Done for the Year

Just wanted to say that my Thunderbird Storm is one awesome motorcycle. She's going into hibernation until next year due to health issues with the mother in-law.

She's been fighting cancer since the end of May, surgery and now radiation treatment. Imperative to support the wife and the in-laws.

I'll be reading all the positive threads on the thunderbird over the coming months. Looking forward to once again exchanging whatnots on the TB.

I'm not sure I see the connection with your riding, and your mother-in-law's illness, but family does come first. Make sure to put some fuel stabilizer in the tank, and run it for a bit to make sure it get into the lines. Best wishes to your mother-in-law. I hope she will be alright.

Life can be tough at times. Sorry to hear that. Also sorry to hear you won't be able to ride for that long. But imagine the reunion !!! Good luck to her and you all.

lantesh....i'm assuming they have to leave and go whereever she lives or some such thing.

That could be. Whatever the reason it is admirable that he is putting his family first.

Sorry about that .... learning curve on the new mac lion software and I posted before I was finished.

Any specifics for storing the Thunderbird. I usually change the oil, oil filter, add fuel stabilizer and run the bike for 5-10 minutes to let the stabilizer work its way through. I also use a Ctek trickle charger.

Anything else I should do ????
