Pillion is a common term for the passenger over here, but I've not heard the rider called a pilot before.

I have a similar rant.. I'm sorry but a "drag strip" is not a "race track." A race track has a start and finish, and they're in the same friggin spot.

my drag strip has a start and a finish line in different spots, and i'm racing, there for it's a race track.

And while we're on the subject of language...you PLAY GOLF you don't GOLF! Nothing makes me crankier than people using nouns as verbs. It's like saying "do you Beer?" No , I drink lots of Beer but I don't Beer, thank you very much. Your shout!!!
