T-Bird 1700 vs Storm

Is there any differance between T-Bird 1700 (2010-11) and Storm other than color and lights?

Thanks
John

The badges on the gas tank are a slightly different shape.

bars and risers are different. I think that and what you both mentioned is about it.

Straight black is always faster!

UNI pods, AI removed, de-baffled TORs, relocated battery, custom bobbed fender, custom wiring, etc

They also did some 1700's with special paint that weren't baggers. But the point is he's comparing because you can always BB a regular Tbird. So availability is there regardless of the fact there are no longer any 1700's coming out of the factory except storms. Therefore the comparison is valid. If i had to bet i would say that in coming years they will be offering more 1700 versions and maybe eliminating the 1600's altogether. i think it all rests on BB install sales, and with the storm available i think the BB sales will fall dramatically.

I was referring to 1600 w/BB installed vs Storm. They have 1-2 locally at dealer that were factory installed. The models appear the same on paper except color maybe handlebars and cosmetics.

Well, there have been 2 sources that have said the BB kit has hotter cams than the factory 1700. Whether that meant the limited run of 1700's they sold with the blue or red haze paint and the bagger, both of which are gone, or whether it also includes the storm i don't know. I also don't know if it's true. The mechanic who BB'd mine is also the USA fleet manager for triumph who works on all the press bikes....demos, magazine review bikes, etc. He told me the BB cams are hotter than the factory 1700's. This was before the storm came out tho. His word is better than most, tho i still can't trust it fully. Then someone posted that thier dealer said the same thing. So that makes it much more likely to be true. But again we have no definitive answer so till then all we can say for sure is the storm and a BB'd bird differ only cosmetically and in the bars and headlights.
