I see this thread from last year got resurected, so I thought I'd chime in again. After roughly 6 or 7 months I guess now with the boards I am still not completely happy. My original comment about wanting to lower them still holds. I do not want to go back to the pegs at this point as I have become accustomed to being able to move my feet around, but with my long legs I still feel like my knees are up too high, and my hips get sore after 30 minutes or so. I stopped by a custom shop recently to get a quote on some custom mounting brackets, but the guy told me they only work on Harleys. I guess he didn't want my money. He did give me the name of someone else, but I haven't called that person yet.

Lantesh, if I could be so bold - what is your inseam? I wear a 34 inch jean and my knees feel a little high too but I think they are actually lower than my hips so it doesn't feel bad - just not quite balanced right - I am going the seat route - having my existing foam cut out of my seat and a gel pad put in, then 1/2 memory foam over that. I'm hoping that will take care of the discomfort problem as that is where all the weight and pain comes from. I am not willing to give up lean angle by lowering my boards.

Daryl depending on the brand of jeans/pants I wear a 32" for most. Modifying your seat is a great idea. I actually did that already, but I did it when I still had the pegs on the bike. Everything was perfect until I put the boards on, which then screwed up the ergonomics again. I guess I could modify the seat again, but right now the seat in relation to the handle bars is perfect, and I don't want to mess that up. Good luck in whatever approach you choose, and keep us posted on it.
