I bought the Storm because it's riding position, handling and power band fit my riding style perfectly. What really sold me though... the quality of the bike felt head and shoulders above any other bike I've ever ridden. The topper was that matte black finish! Don't get me wrong, I love the looks of a nicely done, chromed out cruiser too. I think the world needs variety though.
My sentiments, exactly!

Well said Scotty. I was set on getting a high gloss chromed up bike, but just fell in love with matte black. I love this bike and I get a ton of compliments on it. It stands out nicely amongst all the Harleys at work. There is even a "murdered out" (i.e., matte black) Harley at work and I definitely think the Triumph puts it to shame (although I'm obviously biased ).

By the way, all 2012 Storms have ABS standard (according to my local dealer).

Well said Scotty. I'm busy de-chroming my Tbird and I'm pretty sure there isn't another one quite like it in British Columbia!

What if there were no hypothetical questions?

One must remember, variety makes life interesting. Triumph is just trying to fill another nich of consumer demand. I think they are listening to their customers and fullfilling that demand quit successfully.
