I haven't seen anyone post it, and it could have saved me a lot of issues, so maybe this will help someone else.
Our TBirds have a one inch handle bar and use the standard 2 cable design for motorcycle throttles. So any of the accessory grips that fit that category should work. The only issue is length of the inside tube. The end of the handlebar has a one inch long small diameter bar sticking out that the handlebar weights screw into....if the grip is too short, this will interfere.
The Thunderbird Storm has a 7/8" clutch bar, and a 1" throttle bar assembly. I've discovered that Kuryakin part # 6337 will provide the 7/8" clutch grip and a 1" throttle grip with a replacement throttle tube to mount it on. Do NOT go for the universal fit 7/8" set, as while the clutch grip will fit fine, the throttle side will not ... and it doesn't include the throttle tube either.
In addition, if you're itching to replace the stock footpegs with something fancy, pay close attention to the fitment - Storms have a different sized hinge on the rider (forward) pegs than they do the pillion (rearward) pegs. So be sure and get the correct adapter. Once that's mounted, you can pretty much put any Kuryakin footpegs onto the bike that you wish.
Note the picture below - there's a tapered footpeg adapter making up the 'hinge', and then the footpeg itself attaches to that via a nice long thick Allen bolt running laterally thru the footpeg. Once it's torqued down tight, it's as solid as the stock peg (it will tilt backward if it's loose though).
