If the shoei fits.....I've got two Shoei's. An old one and an X11. I love the X11, but I was thinking about getting something that looks really outside. Those painted helmets on the forum last week really got me thinking about a new, slightly less reverant lid.

I just got a new RSI from shark. Very nice helmet, comfy. I have not had a chance to ride with it yet though, we'll see... I used to rock a scorpion exo-700, and loved it. That took a good hit so its been replaced.

I have an Icon Alliance SS in the flat rubatone black with a mirrored blue shield (too dark at night). Looks nice I think.

It's actually the first 'real' helmet I've ever owned.....thanks to all those on this forum. I have never worn a helmet except for the mandatory (fake) half helmet when I lived in NC, but the wise folks on here and my own tendency to twist speedy's ear got me to thinkin maybe they ain't so bad after all. I hafta admit though, I do kinda miss all that wind, especially on a hot day.

there is nothing wrong IMO with riding with your shield open. That is usually more than enough vent for me, but I wear glasses. There is a lot less turbulence in my eyes with a helmet on and open than no helmet, soo I can see better too.

when i get my s3 i need to get a helmet. i have a Harley helmet with a hog and checkered flames. perdy cool looking but its got harley davidson on the back. HD on a triumph wouldnt be kosher.

as far as the perfect hooligan helmet fer speedy, it would have to be those custom painted bandits that bluesjeans posted. Those things are the perfect hooligan helmet. But since I can't afford that, and I'm in need of a new lid right now, I'm kinda think'n along these lines... :-D

If I'm going for a ride were I need comfort I wear a Shoei with custom Graphics and a big Aussie flag on the side (can't remember model number, but it's a couple of years old.) Otherwise a flat black Simpson Bandit thats got that bad ass darth vader look.
