A dealer in my general area (Martin MotorSports) says they are pre-sold out of all 2007 1098's and are offering to take orders for the 2008's which are expected to start shipping late summer..Geez, I guess it was eagerly anticipated after all.

you dont have to pay for em to get one , just a 1500 deposit thats refundable.

Our dealer has sold his allotment of six already.

I went by yesterday and they were actually painting and fixing the place up. They're going to have a big open house with food an' stuff to debut the bikes tonight.

Dang,

Is it just me or does it look even better naked?

I think some time spent re-routing some of those hoses and a small windscreen or fairing to clean up the headlight/dash area would make it look freakin awesome.

Or maybe I've just been staring at my naked Triple for too long..... :-D

I think you are dead right! And as I considered this, it occured to me:

Wouldn't it be cool if somebody finally made a "convertible" motorcycle. One where the release of 6 or 8 dzus fasteners produced a bike that was wicked cool looking as a naked. But with the fairing in place was great looking also. Then you got both deals!!!! Look out everybody, I'm a f***king genius!!!!!!!!
