Does the clock work correctly after the wiring Mod has been done (new ground wire). My clock works when it wants to.

Sinple answer: Yes, the wiring doesn't stop the clock working.

Corrosion of the bits inside the clock is sometimes a problem, some owners have managed to undo the chrome crimping, strip the clock, clean everything up, and it has cured their problem.

Not done it myself, so can't give you details.

You can try gently tightening the electrical connectors on the back of the clock. Once mine were snugged a little, the clock kept perfect time.
