I am replacing a pathetic harness on a 68 Bonneville, and purchased a new harness from Baxter. I do have a wire diagram but I am looking for anyone who has replaced their's with a new one. Are these new ones pretty much "plug and Play"? It's actually pretty confusing. It seems like most powered things on the bike require a like a jumper wire to the harness. I wish the diagram was in a line like the new harness is.

Thanks,

Paul

Welcome.

1. Make sure you have the harness on the bike the right way 'round (front to back)

2. It's entrely likely that the previous owner fit up mismatched and/or aftermarket parts with incorrect terminal types.

3. The harness should route out the headlight hole to the RIGHT side of the frame, along the lower right side of the backbone, generally, down into the battery tray area, and down to the brake light switch. There is a second 2-wire segment (why, I don't know), out back to the tail light.
