Too many hipsters. Their is a definite stereotype associated with the Bonnevilles etc. As soon as I mentioned getting a Scrambler, people looked at me funny. Not because it's a bad bike, but because they have never seen me wearing plaid or skinny jeans.
I'm heading to Victoria this Sunday on the T100 SMQ...one night there, then two in Tofino. Looking to do some day rides at each place.
Might be meeting up with one islander T100 rider on Sunday for a ride around Sooke Loop Road. Looking forward to checking out Wheelie's Cafe in Vic.
Anyone have other tips/places I should check out or avoid?
Was just at a bike night in Richmond put on by my riding school 1st Gear. Only three other Triumphs out of maybe 80 bikes! Two bonnevilles, a street triple and a tiger. *Coulda used you there.*
There is a Spit & Shine show July 18....someplace downtown. I'm a planning to go. Would be wild to get some fellow Triumphs there. http://theshopvancouver.com/spit-n-shine/
Just tried to book some service at Pacific Motorsports and was told they will no longer be servicing Triumphs in a month...no access to parts, no warranty work etc.
Any good non-affliliated shops to recommend? I've tried Rising Sun for flat rear and they seemed pretty good. But I need some transmission diagnosis....
