Alright ladies and gents....and Cheapbastard...hehe...i have a proposition for all ya ll in the good ole States...

Who here on these Triumph forums would welcome a fellow traveling Triumph owner into their place without meeting them?

You might ask why.... good question...well it has been a plan in the working of mine and the the girlfriend to do a ride across the country next summer. She is graduating from UCLA and wants to do a road trip for a couple months come late spring/summer.... We have places in Washington, Arizona, Texas, Minnesota, Tennessee, and other places that we have friends or relatives.

I have been on this site for a good time and i think it would be a blast to meet some of you faukers...haha... We plan on renting out our place and just making the best of it till we get tired or run out of road...We want to cover lots of the country and see most of the usual tourist hot spots...We want to keep it light/ minimal baggage and document the journey(via blog and photos) along the way.

As of right now....there isn't a definite route, that will take shape in a few months. I just know that it would be nice getting valuable info from the locals like yourselves. Who knows we might meet some new friends along the way....

Let us know what ya ll think...Thanks Dano...

Dano-
If your route brings you to far flung Idaho, give me a shout. Be more than happy to put you up, and I'm always looking for another excuse to take a ride. Don't know what your time frame looks like, but July 13-15 is the Nelson Raid; and Kooteny country is definitely worth a look. And then your only a stone's throw from Jasper and Banff. Swing down thru Yellowstone, down through Bryce and Zion. Sounds like a great trip. When do we leave?

there isnt a set date to leave just yet....but i plan on doing the southern states area first to give the upper states a little more time to warm up. this trip should take place around late May...thats my plan at least.

p.s. it would also be nice to know of yall's favorite bike shop in case we need to get one of the bike worked on...thanks again...

Dano- I don't have room in the house for ya (full of kids...you know...) but I can get you a double room for $40 at the Days Inn via work. Also, I'd be happy to take you on a cool scenic ride of the area. Wade (BTW, Fayetteville-AR...Ozarks etc...)

If you are looking at Triumph shops, there are 3 in Oregon: Medford, Eugene (brand new), and Cascade Moto Classics in Portland; 4 in Washington: Olympia, Lynnwood (Seattle), I-90 (Seattle), and Wenatche; 1 in Idaho (Boise) and 1 in Montana (Misoula). The only one that I have heard good things about consistently is Cascade. The other problem is that most of them are on the I-5 corridor, which I would avoid if I had the chance.
