I would like to upgrade my failing master cylinder 2007 Thruxton (7/8 clip-ons). I noticed that Magura makes a 12mm and a 15mm master in their "street" based product line, attached. I know that the Nissan Master currently on the bike is an 11mm. If you look at the application chart a Moto Guzzi V7 is recommended a 15mm and a YZF R3 is recommended a 12mm, both have single two piston calipers on 300-310mm rotors I dont want to go to big and wind up with a wooden lever. So should I go 12 or 15.

Changing to any size larger than 11mm will make the lever harder to pull and shorten the lever travel, requiring more effort for the same stopping power. If a 12mm M/C has a shorter distance from pivot point to piston (improving the leverage) you might brake even or improve.
