Hi!

Planning on cutting open the air box on my -01 Bonneville and install pod filters instead of the original.

My question is: are there noticeable differences between, say K&N and the much cheaper EMGO. Or Uni. Or DNA. Or…

Thanks in advance

I tend to favor the uni

I think the uni filters a little better filter than the k&n, and is really 1/2 the price. K&N may move a smidge more air. But I really do not think either would be a bad choice. The Uni has worked well for me an is real easy to clean, I do use the K&N cleaner and oil, I had it for the DL650 filter.

I think the UNI is probably easier to clean. I have one and i love it. Cleans very easily and i ran w/o it once just around the block and the bike ran the same which tells me there is no restriction at all. Any bottleneck is obviously elsewhere. Cheaper too. In a word, nothing to complain about.
