Had the camera out takin' shots of the beemerguts, so I figgered I'd show y'all this too. It's the cylinder head of a TT600.

Apparently, the original owner did the damage. He replaced the engine and let it go with the bike when he sold it to the guy I bought it from, who in turn passed it on to me.

Not sure what caused it, though rumor has it these things are very sensitive to octane levels. Maybe low octane/high revs? Maybe just dumb luck. Dunno.

The valve bits are literally jammed into the head. I suppose you could pry 'em out, but they're in there solid. The other parts are fine. The associated piston is dinged, but the piston walls aren't damaged. If anybody wants to buy a 600 block, tranny, starter, etc. cheap, lemme know :-D Otherwise, I might just frame it an' call it Art.

That's the original engine. The one in there now is relatively new (only 4,000 miles) and goes like stink.
