I would place my 91,000 mile '03 against any bike.
Done nothing to it except a clutch cable and stator for which I blame the battery.

Although I do love my 2005, it sounds like a pissed off hornet when I slap her open, and it is a breeze to ride and a blast just to throw around, I do miss the growl from my 95, and I feel myself getting jealous when my girl is riding the 95 alongside me and I hear it grunting along. I was always astonished when I was cruising on the 95, and how smooth it still would ride. Im sure the newest triples ride even better, but I think they ALL are great bikes. Every generation is ready to rumble, bloody thier knuckles and scare old ladies as you hooligan by them,,,

just my thoughts

After asking a question like this, at least one stabbing would have occurred during the ensuing discussion in a room full of 2010 and older bike owners.

With the release of the 2011+ bikes, you are more likely to get a hug and a Pinterest request.

I hope this clears it up
