Can someone enlighten me a little bit on what model this is? (Pic attached)

I've been trying to do some research on it and I can't seem to figure out more about this particular bike. Also, can you share your thoughts on this bike or others like it? I'm a long-time car guy but new to bikes.

All I can seem to find out is that it's a 1955 Triumph 250.

1950-52 Triumph BDG 125...??
Ah ha!

You put me on the right track, it looks like this is actually one of the bikes that was built in the German factory until the mid 50's.

What are the 250cc motors like? Severely underpowered?

Sure looks like a TWN (Triumph Werke Nuremberg) made in the '50's. If it's a twin, it's a 250cc.

And that's all the "village idiot" knows on this subject: Jim

JB..You could be right..?? The twn is on the left the bdg on the right..??
I've done a bit more research and know more about the bikes now. ;)

They're both TWN bikes, the gas tank seems to be the same on all the TWN bikes.

The difference between those two is that the first one is the Triumph 350 Boss. It has a 16hp 350cc motor. The second is the 250cc model, with 10 or 11hp.

They're awesome looking bikes, exactly the style I'm looking for. But I'd really like to know how they ride...
