Started disassembling, bagging and sorting every last nut, bolt, washer, etc... into trays and totes. Waiting for the last few fasteners to arrive. Once down to a bare frame again I'll finish prepping for powder coating.

Finally found the short in my Bonnie tonight that raised its ugly head on the interstate yesterday - and she's ready for the road tomorrow! Can't wait to rack up the miles on the new clutch and feel all the power she's had but I haven't been able to use since December!

See my '72 Bonnie thread if for some crazy reason you want the details...... ;)

Picked up the bike from the shop, and it's amazing. It's like a new bike. i have to post video of the idle now. Full top end rebuild. 200 miles since 10am yesterday. Going back out!
Pics, Jazz, Pics! We addicts need our fix!

And KUDO'S Rathlindri! For conceiving this thread! It will continue and be enjoyed by all as long as the 'Rat forum exists!

I did the same thing 68TR6R on my 68 T120R before I did the 600 mile Phantom Canyon Ride this past weekend....yes it is nice to have a responsive front end no doubt. I went with progressive springs and did a blend of 20W and 30W fork oil...call it 25W...hahaha I was very pleased...and yes ColoradoBob, as I was cruising around 80-85 mph on some of the uphill pulls that damn 52 Vincent just cruised by and put distance between me and him. Nice to see the Vincent just cruising along at 100 mph++.

Bob
Jim blames "the Triumphs" passing his '52 Vincent for him running it wide open and blowing by us. He said he is bored out to 1230 and runs another tooth on the front sprocket. Here's the evil beast without the blur at 100mph+. He said he had his chin on the tank. Bob

Now that would be a beast to add to the stable if one had the funds. A friend just told me he had a line on one of these and I said, "Snatch it up quick!"

Took my sweet Bonnie on a 60 mile joyride this afternoon of 80% twisties and it couldn't have been better....she tells me on every curve that she's only happy with full throttle midway in each curve..... :D

I'm not going to own one this side of heaven Gator, but I sure do hope to acquire one when I get there. Plus a Brough Superior, and a 500 Velo, and a '59 Thunderbird, and a Kwacka W800, and a Ducati Diavel........ better stop there God frowns on greediness. RR

I got to test ride the Diavel. Very fast, handled nice, sounds great, but is too heavy. Plus, there are too many vowels in it's name. ;)

I fitted the pazon sure fire EI to mine and she fired right up. I'm having problems with an over rich mixture so ordered the anodized 3.5 slide and adjustable float from Amal today. Hopefully this will sort it out.

I went for a drive in the country and recovered my old 1971-1972 Triumph motorcycle frame and front wheel from behind my old shed at my parents home. I need to add that I wasn't the person who left the parts outside.

On our way back home my wife anounces that she would like the frame to build her own bike. When I agreed she was excited and now wants to do all the work herself with my help. I'll post a picture of what she is starting with when it stops raining here. She has never driven a motorcycle before.
This should be interesting...

Bonnie and I went to a classic car and bike event.

FORTUNATELY - It was a great day out and weather was reasonable
UNFORTUNATELY - I ran out of fuel on the way home
FORTUNATELY - It was only a few yards from a petrol station
UNFORTUNATELY - It's the first time I've filled the tank to the top and the petcocks have both started to leak!
FORTUNATELY - I managed to decant the fuel from the tank into another container and have ordered up new taps and seals etc.

All's well that ends well.

Well, this may seem like I'm bragging... However, I spent a week in Tuscany, Italy... Driving my friends Ferrari through the rolling hills with my lovely girlfriend.... But all I could think about was the new carb that arrived the day before I left... And the fork rebuild kit.... So today all I have thought about is getting home to install the new parts. (please keep in mind I just bought the bike, and havent started it yet... And this is all new to me. The Belstaff store in Milano hasn't helped either... And then there's the issue of young models but that's an issues for another day....
