Good thread, beer and bikes, what could be better when it's cold and icey outside. It has inspired me to walk over to the garage and check to make sure the Tiger is still there. Haven't seen it since before Christmas, to much ice and snow. Winter sucks.

Green King IPA, can't get it over here anymore. Guiness $4.50 a pint.

Pulled the sludge trap out of the crank today and then put my FLHS back together (new front tire). Of course the plug covering the sludge trap would not turn all the way out cause they didn't put a deep enough grove in it to make it past the second turn. So I drilled a hole in it and took it out with an easy out, then used a tap to get the trap out (thanks to a tip I got here from somebody). The tap worked great.

But somebody has to explain to me how the trap works. It was filled with sludge so it must work but it is just a tube, open on both ends and three holes in the middle. I thought it would have a screen or something in there but nothing, it's empty, hollow. Is it magic?
