Hi guys,

I have been looking at helmets and really wanted to go with the Davida - but think I should proudly wear a full faced helmet.

What are you guys wearing?

Post a pic...

I wear a black Shoei TZR full face. I didn't like the Shoei logos on the front and back, so I covered them with decals and put a checkered racing stripe down the middle. The TZR is extremely comfortable, and I've grown to prefer a full face helmet. Doesn't look as cool as the Davidas, but it's warmer and safer. If you're interested in a Davida, I have a brand new classic (like meatwagons's, below) for sale in the classifieds. It's matte black with a gloss black stripe down the middle. They're sweet lids.

Shoei RF-1000. Very comfortable good air flow. However, next helmet may be a flip face. Wearing glasses and a full face can be a PITA.

Full-face HJC. Under $200, comfy, not too heavy. My wife crashed in a KBC full-face, also under $200, and it saved her life. Just food for thought when you are looking at $500 helmets.

I have a full face Arai, but just got a Cromwell Hurricane for round town- it's absolutely beautiful....but I'm still partial to the full face.

:upthumb: These are all great comments :upthumb:

I wasn't sure about seeing a modern classic - with - a full face. My black bonnie will need that black helment. I guess I am going to have to get too - a Davida and a full face

I would love to see more pics though (too lazy and too boring to just look at online shops)

HJC CL-Max (full-face with swivelling chin bar). I chose this one because I wear glasses. I swivel up to put on and remove, so I can pull it apart a bit to get it over the glasses.

I also like it that this helmet does not have any graphics on it, it's just a plain helmet.

Here's a link to an interesting helmet article in Motorcyclist, for those who haven't read it yet. You might be surprised at their conclusions.

I guess you could move to Texas bonnevillebilly. No helmet required, if you're 18 years old and have minimal health insurance coverage. I ride to work occasionally with no helmet... but only if it's super-nice outside and I'm not running late.

But watching the local news and reading bad $hit here, makes me wear one most of the time anyway. I have a black open face Bell RT I usually ride with. I plan on getting a black full face Shoei TZ-R Traveler soon. Maybe Santa will drop one by. :-D
