Took apart the cvk36s on the Thruxton. A random check ball and spring came out that isn’t in any diagram, I’m stuck as to where it goes. I checked each orifice before tipping the carbs and this check ball surprised me. If anyone knows where a roughly 2 or 3mm check ball and spring go in the stock carbs I’d appreciate the help.

I test rode the bonnie today after yesterday swapping the replacement clock for the knackered one (and swapped screens), it seems ok but will need a longer ride to be certain, though it should be good with the lower mileage. as with so many jobs on it, it seems to have been designed by committee.

A little late. First decent ride on my new-to-me 2017 T120. 125 miles in after a week's ownership (traded in my 2011 SE). A good 105 mile jaunt on Saturday. Stopped off at Santee State Park in SC. Have to work Saturday. Guess I'll just have to take the T120 back out. >wink< I bought this as it is the closest to the 1970 Bonnie with the Astral red and silver. That was mine and my dad's favorite color scheme. Unfortunately, he passed before having a chance to ride a new Bonnie. But I look forward to many miles on the bike we (sort of) wished we'd had.

Trying out a spare tank I got for my 2007 bonnie, it's from an earlier 2002 790cc bonnie, which is smaller in size and is in the lovely forest green over silver with gold pinstripe which goes well with my original silver mudguards etc. It came with the cap and tap but not the badges and badge screws which I bought to go on it.

Looks good imo

Took mine for a test ride after tightening up the header studs a couple of weeks ago. Did 25 miles today, see whether it's still gastight after 100. One thing that alarmed me is that the bike is parked outside and there as been quite a bit of rain. When I straightened the handlebar a load of water poured out of presumably the left hand switch cluster. Something to look into.

UPDATE: Sorry, lads, lasses. Realized I'd posted in the wrong place! Searched for a deleter ... I had an SE up until later October. Two T140s are in the stable. Probably why I keep wandering back here.

Made the Motone radiator grill swap in between Christmas honey-dos. Removed the OEM grill, installed batteries in a new Christmas wreath. Locktited mounting screws for the Motone grill, chased cat away from Christmas tree with old grill.

I do like the idea that the OEM grill cover had fins directing air toward the radiator. Hadn't noticed before. But Stuart Fillingham's vid was interesting. I decided to get a bit of decent kit for the radiator. Reflect a bit of British heritage.

Avon Trailrider av53/54, same as last time, i find them well grippy in dry or wet but as I live in rural west wales having a bit of chunk in the tread is useful.
Nice 👍🏻 I am testing a set of avon Trekriders for my winter rubber. (Road riders in summer)
Seem pretty well behaved on all surfaces so far. I’ll see how they wear 🤞🏻
