What did you do to your twin today?

The Classic triple forum has a thread for daily modifications and shop work. Lets get that going for twins as well.

Today I lowered my T100's rear brake lever. I took the pin out, the master cylinder off and adjusted the bucket and locknut. Now I won't be beside my brake pedal on that bike, I can be above it, ready to use it just a tiny bit quicker.

I also painted the worst-off gas cap I had, black. So I can ride on sunny days without being blinded by my own bike. - my sun visor is in the helmet, and comes down from the top so I get nice glare off the clocks and tank... :(

I fitted the new pop up fuel cap I bought. Oh...and I pulled it out of the garage for photos after its "new look" overhaul.:D

Added Predators...

Finally! The badness has arrived to add to the goodness. The sound? Aural perfection!

Hey xaman, now thats a sweet looking rear end! Those Maund FEK's are a fantastic piece of engineering. If I ever go fenderless at the rear that will be my first purchase.
Oil oil everywhere...

So after a couple of months of the bonnie marking it's territory everywhere I parked it, I finally decided to see where the leak was coming from. Tracked it down to a leaking clutch cover gasket. I went over to Newport Triumph and picked up the gasket, nice and cheap at around $7.50 and I drained the old oil and got the cover off. The old gasket was so stuck down it took over an hour to scrape it all off and clean the surfaces. During that I noticed that the shift lever seal was also leaking. $11.80 for that after a trip up to So-Cal Motorcycles in Brea. The previous owner gave me a new oil filter with the bike so I fitted that and proceeded to pour the new oil in. In it went and came straight back out. Note to moron self, make sure to replace the drain plug back onto the engine instead of leaving it in the oil catch pan under all the old oil! Clean up 2 liter puddle of oil muttering curses then go back to wally mart to buy more oil. Start the filling process again, all goes well. Start up bike and wonder why it sounds weird and where is that starnge airflow coming from on the right side. D'oh! That would be from me not putting the oil filler cap back on so now my favorite t-shirt looks like it has oil measles and so does the bike. Some days its just better to stay in bed.
Oh well, at least I stopped the leak and now my lovely BC Predators can stay all nice oil free!

Fitted a new battery, my second in just 6 months.
Got it to start...

Finally! After 3 frustrating weeks of going out to the garage to hop on the Bonny for a trip to the store or whatever I finally got sick of the stinkin' thing not starting. It would wind over and over until the battery drained with no result. I recently changed to a bigger battery as well because all this no start guff killed the last one. I did some research on here and found that from the symptoms I was experiencing that it might be the coil. I ordered a Nology ProFire which arrived today, 5 minutes later it was fitted and yeah! Fired up first go! Thanks to all the clever cookie guys here for the great advice. I'm off to ride!
Fitted a decent size screen for winter riding, Finally I have the air going over my helmet instead of slamming into me and I can now ride along in (almost) a cone of silence. Ah...bliss.
What did you get? I have the OEM Long Haul screen and the wind hits my helmet and is noisy. I'm 5'6".
National Cycle Street Shield EX. Secondhand off ebay for $50 (looks like new, hardly used). I'm 5'8". Super adjustable, comes off in 10 seconds.
Finally did the ARK...

I had been thinking about doing an airbox removal kit for some time but the price was kinda high until I spotted a brand new British Customs kit online on a certain auction site and snapped it up for $200. Got it all installed today along with tidying up some of the wiring and cleaning bits that had until now, been hidden away behind the OEM airbox. It definitely wakes the 790 motor up and along with the BC Predators I fitted a few months ago it gives the bike a lift in performance but not enough for me to keep it so I am going to keep detailing it over the next week or so and get it ready to sell. It's been a fun year with the Bonnie but for me it's too small and cramped. Looking forward to my new bike, something with better performance and more comfort.

Finally got my long planned for fork gaiters fitted. Easy job, took me just 25 minutes. Wife was leaving the garage to go to the store in the car and she got back as I was lowering the bike off the lift and made the comment" I knew somehow you would be done when I got back". ESP that one! I also engineered a pair of foot peg lowering brackets that put the pegs around 1.25" further forward and almost 2.50" lower. Wow! The different for my knees is amazing and best of all there is still plenty of room for cornering hard. After all this work I'm thinking I might keep it a bit longer now. :D

I have traveled to many dodgy places on this planet on various motorcycles over the years and never have I, or any of my buddies had or seen a helmet cut off a bike. Most would be thieves will go for an easy to remove object rather than your smelly sweaty helmet but hey, each to their own I guess. :D

Repainted the tank, side covers, tank badges as well as re-coloring the Triumph lettering on the badges, painted the gas cap, painted the tank rack, cleaned some grease and oil off the bike as well as cleaned the chain and sprockets and gave the rest of the bike a good wash. I will now detail it all as it goes back together in the next few days and it will be spanking clean and tidy ready for a new owner. :D
Sold it!
Less than 48 hours after advertising it a guy arrived and took it away. Paid me what I was asking so a great result! :D
Added a TEC Clutch Tidy Kit, fitted Fork Gaiters, swapped out the ugly pig iron headlight arms for sleeker alloy units as well as custom made a couple of brackets so I could re-add my Dart Marlin Screen, relocated the ignition switch, fitted custom mirrors with extension brackets, re-positioned the ROX Risers with the OEM handlebar dogbone now on top and fitted new bullet style turn signals with a relocation bracket. Just waiting on some BC Sleepers to arrive so I can rejet and add a Bellmouth and the bike is just about complete for my purposes. :)
Removed the hideousness that was the rear blobby rear taillight and turn signals and replaced them with a smaller and much better looking setup.

Fitted BC Sleepers but have not heard them in action yet as the Ignitor is off the bike and on it's way to Triumph Twin Power in England to be remapped and will be coming back with a Stage 1 Induction kit and some Barnett green clutch springs. I'm thinking it's gonna have quite the extra get up and go then!
Fitted NB fuel/air mixture thumbscrews (and got the mix just right with the new jets!), fitted adjustable clutch and brake lever as well as some new long secure S.S. seat bolts. With Triumph Twin Power Induction Kit I fitted last week the bike is finally alive and goes like a cut snake!

Finally got the frame and small parts powder coated after months of frame changes/chopping, welding and smoothing. Took off passenger foot pegs, removed and filled steering lock hole, added custom frame braces and added spuds for rear turn signals and everything coated in Carbon Gloss Black.
