I've had mine in for a coolant leak (thermostat housing) and 2 recalls, pillion seat bracket bolt, and front mudguard screws and they took care of both immediately. Screws were in stock - coolant housing gaskets and such they ordered and replaced as soon as they came in. No problems in my experience. But depends on who you talk to. Most of what I've read is very positive - 1 or two horror stories - not a bad average overall.

Some have had bad experiences, some good. Like any company it can go either way. From my experience and what i've seen i think triumph will back thier warranty assuming they fully believe the customer is not in any way wrongfully attempting to get a free fix and that the issue is really triumph's fault. The problem lies in the fact that what triumph believes, right or wrong, is the way they go. But if they believe the are wrong i think they will be fair. A good example is my belt. It began to shred on the outer edge and when i had it in for the BB kit i had the mechanic ask triumph to warranty it even tho he knew i had adjusted it according to the swingarm marks and that they are not accurate and therefore the belt was damaged. He asked triumph and they denied it. When the mechanic told me they denied it i said to him that i adjusted it like that because the triumph SHOP MANUAL says to do it that way and that i feel it's wrong for them to deny it when they as much as told me to do it that way. The mechanic called them again and told them that and they then agreed to warranty it. I feel that incident showed that they ARE good about it when they realize it IS thier fault either by design or a different scenario like mine. But again, it comes down to whether *they believe it's thier fault*, not whether it actually is or not.

Too soon to tell. But I have had my first service done and my bike was set up for Canada and they replaced my speedometer with a US one. So, all went fine. This was a thought when I considered buying Triumph. But there are 4 dealers within 25 miles of me so if my dealer turns out to be an idiot I have alternatives.

I have yet to pay for anything except regular maintenance.

I've had a warped rear brake caliper replaced, a timing issue, and had troubles in the beginning with a vacuum hose popping off... all were fixed without cost to me.

I've had one recall... to replace the bolts that hold the front fender on. Now that took a couple of weeks for the dealer to get the new bolts.

I have found that some "Original" Triumph parts have a "back order" status of several weeks... so I take the dealers recommendations on good after market parts... ie.. brake pads... I waited for 6 weeks on the brake caliper...

Don't cha mean the brake rotor??? I haven't heard anything about a problem with the rear caliper.But I have had to replace the rear brake rotor as have some other guys.Or,do you know somethin that the rest of us don't??? lol!! Do tell!!! Dave!!!

So do tell - what's wrong with the back rotor - I barely step on the thing but when I do I want it to work!

Some have warped and needed to be replaced.I happened to have one of em.But in my case,it was after 20,000 some odd miles.Why did it warp?? Beats the **** otta me as I found nothin wrong with the pads,the caliper mount,or the caliper itself.It just did.But I did get a new one under warantee,no questions asked.And so far,other then striped threads in the passenger's side rear floor board mounting bracket,which I also got another bracket under warantee,I haven't had a single problem with my Bird,that is,other then those stupid tires and the belt alignment thing which I finally solved.The tires I'm still workin on.But I'll figure it out. Dave!!!
