Well my 2006 S3 started forming bubbles in the paint on the tank. Now these weren't in the clear coat, these were actual bulges formed in the plastic of the gas tank. I figured the warranty was expired seeing how it had been over 2 years since the bike was purchased, but they looked at the tank and agreed that there was a problem. Two weeks ago they submitted the warranty claim and told me they would let me know what kind of response they got back.

Two days later they called me back and said that the claim had been accepted and that the tank was on its way. Well this morning I dropped off my bike at 9am and it was done at 3 this afternoon. I can't thank the dealership and Triumph enough for covering this. The total had it not been covered was a few twenties shy of a $1000. WOW, $800 for a plastic, talk about insane.

Needless to say, the bike looks a lot better (my old tank had a few small nicks and scratches and the stickers weren't looking so hot) and it didn't cost me a dime.
