Just ordered my black 07 ST. I really wanted a aluminum silver but alas not available for 07. I have not owned a bike since 85 so I am really stoked about riding again.
I am finding this forum to be a great source for information on a wide range of topics, so hats off to all.

Cheers Eric

Should be here by early March, just in time for better weather. Leaving for Costa Rica for two weeks on Friday.
Lots to look forward to.
Thanks for the scoop on the forum

Cheers Eric

Zulu;

You mentioned that you haven't owned a bike since 1985, I hope you have ridden since then?

Not to sound like your mother, but if you haven't please be VERY careful with your new Sprint. It is a liter class machine, and while not a GSXr1000, it will bite you in the a$$ if you don't know what you are doing. If you have been riding recently, ignore what I just said. (Still be careful tho!)

Hey Zulu,
I picked up my Red 07 about three weeks ago, and can tell you that you will not be dissapointed. The bike is excellent. It feels light, rides smooth, good ergo's, and as fast as you would ever want it to be. I live in the Northeast US, and can't wait until the Spring to get on a long trip and really stretch it's legs.

Welcome to the group!

Just picked up an 07 one in blue - traded an 06 S3 and I have to say that first impressions are that the Sprint is a little more civilised. You'll love the bike. I can't wait for the Spring here as well - snowing tonight.

Welcome Zulu,

I got my st back in June. It is my first sport touring bike. I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed this bike. I put 6300 mi. on it since June and can't wait for the next 50 something degree day. I do agree with, I think it was Cricket 1, if you haven't ridden in a while please don't take this bike lightly. It's speed and torque are amazing. Much, much more than what I was use too.
Hope you enjoy your bike as much as we all here enjoy ours!

:) :) :)

Eric, i've had my ST for 7 months. Mine's in aluminum silver, my favourite colour :hihi: .
I traded up from a Fazer 600 which I though was a good bike but the ST blew my socks off when I had my demo ride.
It has power all through the rev range, it feels really planted and solid on the road, is comfortable, looks gorgeous and the sound from that triple is glorious :-D
Before I get carried away, there are a few minor niggles(as you'll know from reading other threads on this site).
The bike's not perfect but it's dam close.
Enjoy.
