OK...So I am putting my new handlebars and Vintage grips on this evening, got the Haynes Manual out...have this site up running...but No Where does anyone explain what they did with the "locking tabs" on the throttle grip, not the tabs at the end of the grip (those are not a problem), but the large ones nearest the brake res?? Did you leave them and stretch the Vintage grips over them? Did you grind them down...Dremel? Did you leave them and simply stop the new against the tabs? Just wondering...Thanks everyone!!!

I just left them and pushed the grip up against them.

I did the same thing and have not had any problems with it.

Do the vintage handgrips come with holes in the ends or do you cut them out? Or do you remove the bar end weights?
Sorry, probably dumb ?s but just want to be sure b4 I purchase a set. Thanks Blokes, Rod :)

Just remove the bar end caps and slide the new grips on. The vintage grips have a different profile at the end than the standard grips so you will not need to put the caps back on.
