I've got a 2000 Sprint that needs a valve adjustment. I don't have the valve adjustment tool (I am going on the assumption here that this is a stock piece of Triumph equipment that would have ordinarily been a part of the bike's tool kit) that my Haynes manual shows as needed to do the job. Do you need this tool to do the job?

It's a dealer tool, available at additional cost. Lots of people just pull the cams to get to the valves. Others buy the tool, then say it was such a pain to use that they may as well have saved the money & just pulled the cams. There are probably a few people who thought the tool was worth it as well.

I just pulled the cams on my old 885, & there is no tool for '02-up motors like my Sprint has.

Cheers, HTH,

Have you tried the search function? There have been many threads and drawing on how to make one.
