If you really think a picture of a computer patch cable is going to tell you much, I can take a picture of both the old style cable and the new USB cable. I have both, being an unreconstructed tinkerer. If you grew up keeping SU carbs synched and adjusted, it is exactly the kind of computer toy you will like. If you think that adjusting things, just to see what happens, is a bad idea, then it probably isn't worth your $300. I like to load new maps to see if they work or not, although I haven't done that on the 675 yet.
The biggest problem with TuneBoy as a consumer product is how nebulous it really is. You get some software, a cable, and an unlock code. You don't even get a box with fancy graphics on it to look at. Once you get past the lack of visual impact, you find out that it is probably the most powerful tool you can have to keep your fuel injected Triumph tuned up and running well. You can use it in Power Commander emulation mode and hook the ecu directly to a dyno through your laptop. You can read all the fault codes and adjust the injectors as part of synching up the throttle bodies.
The whole thing is just amazing. I don't have any kind of connection to Wayne, either. Just speaking as a very happy TuneBoy user for something like four years now.
I am pretty sure that several 675 racing efforts in Britain are using TuneEdit software as part of their tuning instead of hooking up a Power Commander.
If Wayne decided to adapt it so it worked with Keihin injection on Japanese bikes as well as Triumphs, he would sell a whole lot more, but he seems to be a Triumph man through and through. He is active over on t595.net, and if you send an email question to him, you get a personal response from him or his wife Emma solving whatever problem you are asking about. Try getting something like that from any other aftermarket vendor!
