My 12000 mile 2001 TT600 has what seems to be a very stiff clutch.

Is this normal or not, and how easy are they to adjust.

When you say stiff do you mean the pull on the lever is heavy or that the clutch is grabby when it engages? If it's the latter, make sure the freeplay at the lever is adjusted properly with the screw & nut on the clutch lever.

Pull lever is a lot heavier than previous bikes I've ridden

I'm pretty sure it's normal. The lever is on the heavy side, at least to my experience

Hey guys, I know this thread is SUPER old but I happen to have a 2001 TT600 with this same problem. Now I bought the bike back in October of 2011, and I'm on my third clutch cable including the one that was on the bike when I bought it.. I really don't want to buy another cable. When I move the clutch around at the case there is almost no resistance, but when I hook the cable back up and pull in the lever there seems to be too much resistance.

Thanks for the reply Will, I have never seen another tt600 so I don't know how the cable should be routed. Do you or anyone else know how this cable should be routed?
