Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you had experience riding your Trophy on dirt roads
and around the edges of fields. I am going to be spending lots of time on the
freeway getting to areas then it's twisties and farm roads. I know this is more Tiger / GS work but really would prefer to keep my Trophy.

Do you think 90/10 (street/dirt) tires and/or wheels and a good suspension would do the trick? I am having .95 springs emulators and adjustible preload caps put on the forks and rebuilding he shock with a stronger spring.

Maybe put on some crash bars, remove the lower faring and fab a belly plate?
Help greatly appreciated.

i'm no off roa expert but what i have experienced is that the lighter the bike the better - the gs1200 is a road bike and the trophy i would expect have no chance....

buy a 125 250 off road jobbie and fling it all over

I've ridden my Trophy on quite a bit of Vermont dirt roads, wet and dry....

Handles fine, eats up the miles fine. The usual caveats apply, bike in good working order, good tires, and use your head.
