I am mid restoration on a survivor 1955 Terrier and have a questions concerning the gear indicator control rod (pictured) The gear indicator is up by the speedometer. The control rod attaches to a cable at the top of the crankcase and to the shifter cam plate inside the gearbox at the little (3/16) hole shown. The rod is less than 1/16 in diamater and the lower end of the rod is threaded. Can anyone tell me what the missing part looks like?? It doesn't show up in the parts books. I expect a clevis-pin-type fitting would need to pass through the cam plate and the rod would screw into it, or pass through and be fastened some other way. Thanks for your help.

I replaced the carb on my 1970 T100C with brand spankin' new Amal Premier 626 26MM concentric carburetor. Everything works great except that I have to tickle the carb three or four times after each kick before it finally catches.
Before I take it all apart, I would like to know if any of you...
I want to buy a new set of rims for my 1969 Triumph and would like to which would be a better buy the Devon Stainless steel rims or the chrome plated rims. I like the polished stainless but would like to know what has been your experience with both. The durability of the shine in the stainless...
As a Hinkley triple owner (don't hate me guys!) I sometimes also read the threads on that section of the Triumph Rat forum and they have a long running thread "what I did to my classic triple today" or something very similar. Posters put up a few lines about what they did with their 'bikes that...
