Triumph caught on video
By: Ben Purvis
This new Triumph prototype has been caught testing at the Almeria circuit in Spain.
Although it looks a lot like a stock Speed Triple, the bike has a double-sided swingarm similar to that on the Daytona 675, and a different chassis compared to the stock Speed Triple.
The exhaust system appear to be from the 1050cc Speed Triple – suggesting this machine has the big 1050cc triple rather than the small 675cc motor.

It seems its the replacement for the 955 Daytona, it will have simiar styling to the 675 but with a 1050 motor, there testing the new frame with a double sided swingarm, but have dressed it up to look like the S3, differences are in the frame and swingarm, it also has a bigger radiator which indicated a higher state of tune required for a high performance tuned 1050.

AMCN (Australian) mag,
had an article in the last edition just inside the front cover stating it was suspected Triumph would soon release a brand new 1050 Daytona and also suspected a naked junior 675 Speed Triple and a hypersports tourer to compete with the KZX14 and Busa.

I also read in a brit bike mag a 1050 Daytona was sited testing in Spain I think............not sure about that I think I read it somewhere anyway.
