I posted this earlier in the biker hang out, and thought you guys would be interested (if you don't already know)

From the Novenber 2006 issue of Cycle World:

"AMA Pro Racing announced changes to the Formula Extreme class that will allow a broader range of equipment. ..for 2007, liquid cooled four-valve 650-675cc Triples have been included."

In case not everyone knows, The Formula Extreme class is what raced in the Main Event (200) at Daytona last year.

The class also includes air-cooled v-twins (up to something like 1340cc's to include the Buells)

That's great news, it'll be cool to see a Triumph back in big-time American racing! Hopefully someone will put together a competitive team. The 600-ish "superbike" is a great concept, considering how many are sold every year. I just wish all the factories would get involved and stay out of the "stock" classes.

Maybe if I'm lucky they'd have some Privateer at 07 Daytona 200!!

My guess is that there is a pretty high likelihood of that happening.
