thanks for all your answers to my last thread about should i buy an rs. well i gone and done it on sunday.
got her for a knock down price, one owner, full service history
and will treat her to a fresh paint job (acidic yellow) but keep the standard colour.
the guy in the shop said you wont believe the difference after having a thunderbird.

cant wait!!!!

i liked the thunderbird, i like a sit up riding position, the engine was nice (when it was running ok). im not sure how i will get on with the much lower riding position on the rs, will probably have to fork out for a pair of spacers to raise the bars a tad.
i would have another thunderbird, just liked the prices of the rs. it seems a lot of bike for very little money.

Great choice of colour it sounds like you will have a nice ride
ready for spring/summer.
One warning thou this bike is so deceiptive with it's smooth power that before you know it you are riding way above speed limit.

Not knocking the T=Bird. It's a great bike for what it's intended for, but performance wise, it can't compare to the RS.

Now there's the thing. I have had 2 RS's but love the look of the Thunderbird and the America. I know if I got one of these two, I would be disappointed after experiencing the power after the RS, hence the 2nd RS. Does that make sense?
