HELP>>>
I'm about to put the head back on my TT, but the torque numbers in the factory manual just don't seem right.

Book says 20Nm, at first then 27 Nm, then 120 degrees rotation.

Problem is using the conversions I found in a different book it works out to 14.76 ftlb. and then 19.926ftlb.

Those numbers just seem too low!

The last partswill be in thursday, so I have a little time, but this is going to drive me NUTS!! Please someone help...

I found a site that gave a conversion factor for Ft lbs. to NM: Multiply by 0.7380. So 27 NM would be 19.926 which is the same as your high number. Where did you get the 14.67?

The service manual says the bolts have to be tightened in three stages all in the same specific sequence. In the first stage, they're tightened to 20 Nm. In the second stage to 27 Nm, and in the third stage they're tightened through 70 degrees using tool 3880105-T0301 (whatever that is).

Kubbie mentioned 120 degrees in the third stage, which is different from what my manual says on page 3.22.
