I ran my T100 up early this AM and stopped at 7,500rpm in 4th-that showed 115mph. Any body got a better shot?? I did quit as I ran out of room. Just wondering if there is a lot more there in 5th or I am tapped out??? Bike is parts modified (no machinework or cams)

I looked at the speedo as I shifted from 4th to 5th at 8100 rpm...it read 120. I was nearing the top of a hill so I let off after shifting to 5th. I figure my speedo is around 10% fast, and I still have the 17 tooth counter sprocket.

As we all know the speedometer of the Bonnie is far from accurate.
The best way to calculate the real speed is by converting RPM into actual speed.
A good calculator can find at Gearing Commander

These are the figures I found for my factory standard T100.

As can be seen the T100 could have been called T130
Anyway it is curious that the claimed maximum 66 BHP is given by Triumph at 7.200 RPM (200 RPM into the redline! )

For the ones with a 19-tooth front sprocket, they can name their bikes T135 Plus :upthumb:
(providing they can achieve 7,200 RPM in 5th gear  )

one more thing to throw into the mix: if you have a 2005 or later, the rev limiter was changed out to actually allow 8000 rpm, if you didnt know. I think the new limit may be 8200 or so, I ran 2nd thru 4th up to 8000 before shifting, and she stuttered not a once. in fact, she screamed with pleasure

Mine is two month old and has the redline at 7.000 RPM and my "Owners Handbook" states: Maximum Power: 64PS @7,250 RPM (page 101).
I didn't pass a dyno test with mine yet (too new) but I doubt that there will be any power increase past 7,250 RPM (if ever one will manage to achieve that much in 5th gear other than going downhill very, very steeply (not very healthy with a single disc front brake)

Well according to those charts, I was not to far off
I was pretty dam close.

(1) I'm running the 19T
(2) straight exhaust pipes ( TOR's gutted out) nice and LOUD!!
(3) 125 main jets, 42 pilot's and, one needle shim
(4) K&N free flow air filter
(5) snorkel ripped out

they did not change the redline on the tach, or the wording of the manual. but if you have a 06 t-100, trust me, it'll go to 8000. true, there is not that much or any advantage to it, unless you want to reach a top speed
