When i got my bike i got a spare tire with it.

Its a bridgestone battlax. I thought yeah i got a spare tire to swap to.

So im in need of a tire swap bad right now and start looking at this tire the other day and notice it has a damm hole in it. (the tire dude gave me when I got it from him)

i think he rode on it for like 50 miles and got a nail.

what a bastard. thanks buddy.

I guess my question is its not even worth plugging to ride on it for a bit is it?

I don't mind getting a new one but im way short right now for a tire

It the swap is cheap $$ sure plug it and swap for a bit until you have the cash.

If the swap is not cheap $$ put a new tire on there.

How bad is your current tire?

I'd plug it, and ride on it...
You should definitely avoid high speeds on a plugged tire, however, if you plug it right, it's not going to catastrophically fail for no reason.

I've personally put a several thousand miles on a plugged rear tire, without issue.

I am an Avon fan. A British bike deserves a British tyre. I spooned on some Viper Super Sports. Took them out today for a spirited 300 miles on the back roads. A bit of squirm under braking, completely planted in the corners. A huge improvement over the Metzelers.
