Can anyone recommend a good set of tire irons? The webbikeworld article mentioned some curved ones working well with disc brakes attached, and ebay has several different ones. I am assuming two would be plenty for the job? Thanks!

Real short ones, like in the motion pro link, are probably better for dirt bikes with narrower tires. Street bikes, you want some length for leverage.

The ones I have are straight ~ 18" long, work fine with discs in place. Two of these is enough with a shorter one for just 'holding'. I use rim protectors also. Hardest bit is breaking the old tyre off the bead. I've used a cheap (ish) lever type breaker - PITA to use. Found a vice or woodwork clamp easiest (maybe not so good if the tyre is to be refitted), but have seen a 'screw' type breaker on ebay uk for about £50 that looked like it would work well.
