72 horse at the wheel with stock pistons....yeah, that seems very optomistic. But maybe their cams really are good? I dig their pipes. I'd like to see them on a bonnie or Thrux.

it's a 270 degree motor like in the Americas and Speedmasters, but Thunderbike makes cams for the Thrux/bonnie as well. I don't know of anyone that used them, and they fail to mention in their dyno runs that the engine has had major headwork done...use at own risk.

Oh, and they're $1000...

I think you'll get better power out of a big bore kit and a set of carbs.

I'm doing a 904 and some headwork really soon, oversized valves and port/polish. I hope to get the 41mm mikunis too.

This will add power all through the range, and hopefully a lot of it.

the cams only make power above 6k rpms, and they cost more than a big bore and headwork.

definately. I'm waiting on some things to sell to get the money together, but I should have all the $$$ squared away within a week or so, then I'm ordering parts. Once the parts come in I'll start tearing everything down and sending it to the machine shop. I'll take lots of pictures and post them.

I can't wait! What sucks is the bike will be down for probably about 3-4 weeks. Maybe I can borrow my brother's SV 650 to ride until it's done.

We ride year round down here...
