Is there a difference in placement between the two? My missus has an ‘09 EFI T100 and we picked up a set of British Customs Predators off of eBay recently at a stupidly* good price, we then bought some Thruxton headers off of another EFI model and just went to install the set. The problem is, the BC silencers don’t line up with the T100’s rearpeg mounts with either set of headers, leaving me wondering if the Thruxtons (or earlier carb AC models) had them in a different position?

Luckily, I did a test fit first before noticing, and have installed a pair of stock Thruxton silencers that came with the new headers, but it would be nice to fit the BC ones still if anyone has a solution!

The OE mufflers bolt to the inside of the bracket toward the wheel. The Predator bracket attaches to the outside of the frame bracket between the frame bracket and the foot peg.

That’s what I thought too, but the angle is plain wrong either way, very weird!

I’ve got the same bike (with stock T100 headers and NH Togas), so I’ll pop them onto both and sort some photos out in the week to show what I mean more clearly. Should have done it earlier but...!

Thruxton and T100 header pipes have a different angle set in to the pipes where they join the silencers. Thruxton headers can't be used with T100 silencers and T100 headers can't be used with Thruxton silencers.

Yep, understood - the problem here though is that the BC silencers don’t seem to line up with the angle on either the stock T100 downpipes, or the angle on the replacement Thruxton ones. Very odd indeed!

Maybe the silencers are for the Bonneville se. Look similar to the Thruxtons but there are differences.

As I understand it though, if they were for an SE they would fit on at least one of the T100 or Thruxton headers, no? I’ve (clearly) lost track of the variations!

Update - @plodalong was right, I'd been mis-sold a set for an SE, not a Thruxton as advertised! I've now returned them and found an actual Thruxton set. The BC Predators are now fitted and sound stupidly loud... possibly too loud! :)

Do you have the Predator Pro's or the original Predators? The Pros have a insert for a quieter sound. I have the originals and wish I could tone them down a bit but they dont make an insert.

Originals unfortunately! I'll probably try and add some packing to see if that does the job, otherwise I might modify them to fit a generic baffle
