It's just about the same as the stock seat, maybe better.
You won't need rearsets any more than with the stocker.
My 36'' inseam doesn't want a lower saddle... It's some serious piece of information you're giving me here. How about the NH solo seat? Is it lowering the seat height as well?On 2006-12-19 12:20, FattRat wrote:
Thruxton's advertised seat height is actually lower than the regular Bonnie. Given that the Thruxton has taller shocks in the back, the lower seat height is as a result of a lower saddle. In addition to being lower where the pilot sits, it's narrower toward the gas tank as well.... for the sport rider can tuck his/her legs in more.
I've always wanted to put a Thruxton seat on my Bonnie and enjoy the benifits my 24" inseam would be afforded. It's also being claimed that the "68" line of seats are somehow more comfortable than the factory saddles. So if a guy were to spend the bucks, spend it toward the '68' Thruxton seat & seat cowl......
Oh so now the Thruxton seat is higher than the stock Bonnie seat?On 2006-12-19 12:25, sweatmachine wrote:
here's another $0.02 of mine, I have the stock seat, which has about 15,000 miles of my ass worn into it.
I got a barely used Thruxton seat and it sat higher than my well-worn stock seat.
Nope.On 2006-12-19 12:20, FattRat wrote:

Oh yeah that's right. How about the 18'' front wheel v the 19''... What influence on the seat height? :wink:On 2006-12-19 18:50, rodburner wrote:
When reading Pat`s statement, take into account that the Thrux shocks are an inch or more longer than the Bonnie, thus making a Thrux seat on a Bonnie 1/2" lower than the stock Bonnie seat.
