I measured them about a year and half ago...here's what I got with my dial caliper...all dimensions are in inches.

Thrux TBS Stock
length
2.237 2.290 2.179
Diameters
Tip= 0.066 0.066 0.076
Tip-0.2=0.070 0.070 0.079
tip-0.4=0.074 0.074 0.081
tip-0.6=0.079 0.079 0.084
tip-0.8=0.084 0.084 0.088
tip-1.0=0.090 0.090 0.092
Taper begins
Tip-1.33 Tip-1.26 Tip-1.27
Non taper Diameter
0.097 0.097 0.097

TBS= Thunderbird Sport needles.
I hope this comes out in a table--that's how I typed it. :-D
Too much trouble to find the old thread again.

Well, the table didn't do too good or too bad--the spaces were all removed. The columns are still in order--The first one is for Thrux needles, the second for TBS needles and the last for the stock needles in my '03 T-100 (790cc)

I scanned both stock and Thruxton needles this is what they look like.

The TBS needle has the same taper but it is 0.053" (1.3462mm) longer. I would buy the TBS needles if I had it over again. Or you buy some and I'll swap you for my Thruxton needles.

Am I correct in deducting from all this that the Thruxton needles are a richer needle almost accross the range.

Yes that' s right, the TBS needle is longer so to get it the same as a Thruxton needle it needs to be shimmed. That is why TBs is better if you're too rich with a Thruxton needles there is no (simple) way to make it leaner.

For anyone having trouble reading my "table" and understanding what I did, here's some verbage to go along with the table of measurements.

First, I measured the overall length of the needles. This measurement together with the "Taper begins" measurement can be used to compare the richness between the Thrux and TBS needles.

Next, I took the three different needles and tried to make some measurements to show how the taper differs between them. I first measured the diameter at the tip (bottom) of the needles. Next, I moved up the needles 0.2" and measured the diameter (listed in the table as Tip-0.2"). I kept doing this until I was out of the taper area(Tip-0.4", Tip-0.6", etc).
Next I measured how far up the needle (from the tip or bottom) the taper begins--that measurement is listed as Tip minus 1.33" for the Thrux needles. The last measurement (diameter of the non-tapered part) is the same for all three needles.

I would recommend purchasing both the Thrux and TBS needles if you are going to dyno your bike after doing mods like removing the airbox. Between the three different needles and some shims, you should be able to get the mid-range spot-on. I couldn't on mine because it is still a little rich with the stock needles; however, it is not rich enough to hurt anything--I still get 50+ mpg and it runs like a scalded cat. :-D Most I have read about say their bonnie is lean in the mid-range with the stock needles, hence the need to try richer needles (TBS and Thrux) and/or shims.
