Hey yall,

I just picked up a 2007 Thruxton 900. Everything on the bike works great except for one weird headlight problem.

I started it up and drove it home with no trouble, but then the next time that I went to start it up, the headlight did not come on. All the other stuff--turn signals, brake lights, worked just fine and the bike started right up.
I switched from low to high and back--nothing. I jiggled the wires going into the back of the light--nothing. Then I slapped the front of the headlight, and it came on. It stayed on until the bike was shut off, and then had the same problem when I turned it back on again.

I started it up a half a dozen more times with the exact same results. Sometimes I would have to slap the light a few times, but it always came on and stayed on until the bike was shut off.

Of course, this solution was extremely temporary, and now the light won't come on at all.

Anybody have any idea what could go wrong that would cause such a peculiar problem?

Thanks,

joey

I m assuming connections point are not clean or loose. Open all wire connection behind headlight rub with wire brush gently - also clean back of bulbs while you are there. Report back and experts should be able to chime in.
