The way to do correctly is to get your pipes powder coated. Seen a ton of bikes with powder coated black pipes and the stuff really holds up...it's not cheap but IMO worth it. There are some high heat paints on the market and old style header paints but they generally have their issues. Maybe someone on the forum has tried something and had some luck with it.
i have painted mine with "pot belly black" its a flat black for painting fire places last pretty good and easy to touch up if you mark them if you go the way of high temp paint it is a good idea to warm the part first then paint this winter i am sending mine of to get HPC coated its a ceramic coating i have used before on exhaust, pistons ,valves etc it dispurses the heat evenly and keeps an even colour all along the pipes its not cheap they will charge me $350 aussie for my 3 into 1 but this bike is staying in my shed forever so i dont care and never ever add up what ya spend on it or tell the wife !

Here is what a 2000 TBS looks like with custom rims from Kineo. All the ladies seems to like it.

I've never liked pods so I will be purchasing a new OEM airbox/filter assembly. However, I am considering opening the...
I recently picked up a brand new flyscreen for a Thruxton on ebay. The price was right (about $80 including the shipping) so I decided to go for it. Has anyone tried mounting one of these to a Thunderbird (or any of the other Classic Triples)? I am wondering, in particular, how to modify the...
I might be able to get these for an OK price (or not). What do you think they will sound like on a TB? Obviously I would have to make adapters myself as the won't fit straight out of the box, but you guys think they will be way to loud on a triple?
Hello, does anyone know what the coating on the aluminium suspension parts on these triples is?
I'm replacing bearings, shock, and anything else that's worn out, and going in for a huge clean-up. Getting the suspension spindle out was a problem because of corrosion in the middle two rings of the...
