Hello; I'm thinking of grabbing a new Street Triple. I'm leaning toward an RS, any arguments against it? I like the decent suspension but have caught rumors of it being a bit less of a torque motor and more top-end focused. Comments-??

Hi, check out the Street Triple forum for more detail. Search for Street Triple power curves in your fav search engine. The R has the same peak torque as the RS, but at about 1000rpm lower. By the curves the R makes more power than the RS at any given revs up to 10k, then the RS pulls a way a bit. What do I know, I ride a 675, and they're all the same. Enjoy researching

Yeah, my track ride is a '15 675R...it's fine and was great in street trim (that was only a very short time)! I'm thinking the 765 will do even better; slightly less peak HP but more torque across the board.

Thanks for the comment; this was my first post to finalize my forum registration. I'm still trying to justify another street ride; I do love my Sprint!

Test ride the 765 and follow it with the speed triple. That's what I did and the 765 was a toy in comparison. They're also priced similarly. The 765 is a bit more nimble, but that's about it. If this is your first bike, then the 765 is good to learn on, but you will get bored within... let's say 3 months. Go on YouTube and watch some of the street vs speed videos.
