1. Plastic front fender
2. Throttle Position Sensor. This computer/carb interface will not do.
3. Cylinder head guards. Do these things do anything other than look retarded?
4. Not getting a Triumph in Casino Royale.

I leave it to you now, beer time.
Cheers.

1. None on a TBS
2. None on a TBS
3. None on a TBS
4. Can't argue with that

Get rid of your Thrux and buy a TBS and 3 out of 4 problems solved.
And you will have a better bike.

OK, time to put my flame suit on. :flam:

1. Mine looks better painted black, but an alloy fender would be so much cooler.

3. Agreed. I have removed mine. They pull out without damaging the fins, including the rubber mounts.

Added to your list are:-

A. Stupid, ugly mirrors. (quickly removed)

B. Large rear fender and lights (quickly removed)

JCW, you've piqued my curiosity, what's wrong with the 270 motors and the Rocket 3?
Actually nothing Jeff - Just think a bonneville should be 360 degrees and the Rocket - well the motor looks like a high tech chromed farm tractor engine. Besides I'm trying to liven it up around here for Jazzman. :-D John

1) Never cared enough to notice. Looks good to me.
2) Never had any sort of problems.
3) They work for me.
4) Yes, Bond should have been riding a 675.

I'd be perfectly happy with a stock Thruxton. Of course, that hasn't stopped me from spending thousands on mine.

1 - Suspension - cause I gotta spend money
2 - Mirrors - stock ones sucked for me, then again they do on most bikes
3 - Carb bolts - cause they strip too easy

Nothing major, in fact I think for the price point, what you get for your bucks and the fact we can mod to our hearts content is more than enough to offset the "bad things". I do not think any of these are "f" ups or really bad however.

This is by far one the best bikes for riding, style and wrenching I have owned.

PS - don't forget about the spoke issue... I check mine. Others have had problems.

I too have very little to complain about. But Boboso and Pedro have hit upon something here:

Why haven't the carb bolts been upgraded? And the rubber sleeves the signal relays sit in dry rot too soon.

I absolutely love the bike, wouldn't own anything else and I agree for the price it's one of the best out there. But little improvements over the years would be really great. In fact, I hope to own/work out of a Triumph dealership one day. After having the worst customer service on the planet from the "largest Triumph dealer on the East Coast", I'm convinced I can do better.

I don't know guys, Triumph has a good range of products, reliability, good warranty, and puts out a solid bike across their product line.

As to bolt on upgrades, I like to see a model with enough market share to interest outside companies to manufacture parts for my bike. This results in more variation, since third party companies come up with their own design, and will often sell the upgrades for less than a manufacturer.

Also seems a good sign that most of the feedback so far is about farkles.

Whoa dude,

What is a farkle? Is that in reference to the Farkle family of the old Laugh In TV show?

Steve, Gears and such
