OK, OK... I know everyone is way over the top excited about the new 07s arriving, being purchased, and taken home...and that's understandable - don't want to rain on anybody's parade... (especially you Colts fans).

The 06s? Old news. Yesterdays fantasy. A smoky bar room dame with wrinkles by now....

Well, before you forget about that sweet thing, let me tell you this. I finally got my recently purchased 06 home today. Parked her up next to the DUCs and she looked right at home...

Busted a few miles on all three bikes today. Yeah, you gotta love that triple. It's very, very sweet....

Five weeks from today - I leave for the TX Hill Country and a little spring training action in Arizona! :-D

Congrats! Nice in blue, did you get all the panniers and heated grips in the bargain?

Enjoy it, when the weather warms up.

Got the panniers and a rear bag but no heated grips. Had the center stand installed plus a front fender extension.

Of course, I had to have a nice Triumph leather jacket....
And a hat....

CONGRATS!

Old News? Yesterday's fantasy?

Not to me. I purchased my Black 06 back in November and I am just getting to know her. Today’s news for me.

1500 miles on it and so far sooo perrrfect.
This is an outstanding bike!

One of the best decisions I have taken in a very long time.

The sound of the triple has to be good for your health.

Enjoy it!!!

Hey Henry.
Give me a call when riding season arrives...
Smoke from the fire - I live on the extreme east side of town (Independence) so missed the smoke, but it was quite a site to behold...

Thanks mate. Yes, I think the Tiger is a perfect roomie for the DUCs.... there gonna get along just fine.

I bought the Tiger used (1350 miles) - fellow traded it in on a Harley..... hey, to each his own!

The sound of the triple is sweet and the pull of that motor is even sweeter...

I've got some racing pipes (Termingnonis) on the DUCs so their sound is way, way over the top but the triple will find her voice - I can assure you of that! :-D

i am looking forward to this time next year, when i will be getting my first 995i,i want one in british racing green,or the blue like you got,i will have had the 885i for two years by then and i have loved every single moment,i have had tons of bikes over the 30 years i have been riding, but none of them have come close to the tiger.

it will out handle any sports bike that i go riding with on the twistys, and even out accelerate most of them to about 80mph on a rolling start,it is the most comfatable ride ever,(over 700 miles in one day, with stops for fuel only),it burns no oil,and i get 45mpg,unless i really hammer it.

i love reading this forum,as its great to see you guys from the states love our bikes as much as we do,i have looked at and riden the new tiger, but it is to much like a lot of other bikes for me,i love the looks of the old tiger, and i personaly think triumph made a massive mistake making it,when the BMW GS1200 was the biggest selling bike in great britain in 2006,they had a chance to make a world beater, and made an also ran (only my opinion).

enjoy your tiger, and one day i WILL get to the states, for that massive ride out i always promised myself.

Good luck on that 995i - and I too love that british racing green...

Not only do I love the Triumph, bit I had a Jag (S-Type R 390hp) that was a mightly sweet piece of machinery too...I'm still kicking myself for selling it....

When you do get over to the states, let us know - we'll hook up with a ride and buy you a cold one or two...

I rode a couple of days last year with someone from your part of the globe. He and his wife were moving from the UK to the states. She flew on in to the west coast. He flew into the east coast, bought a bike (1150GS) and traveled across the US and buddied up with a number of us along the way.

One very interesting fact about his ride across the states - he refused to either eat at or sleep in any "national chain" establishment (like McDonalds or Holiday Inn); he always stopped at the mom and pop place across the US. A brillian idea! :)

I remember seeing a picture of you somewhere... inside a truck with your blue Tiger on the background and thanking the gay who traded her in.

You certainly got the best end of that trade-in.

Good deal!

I have the Lucifer '05 Tiger and couldn't be happier. I was
able to sit on the new '07 Tiger for the first Tuesday and as
I rolled it up and off the side stand. I felt like this is a V Strom. The Tiger is probably much better than the V Strom
or the Multi in every way once it's gets to rolling. I couldn't
justify the price of 13.5K out the door with bags.
Put a center stand on it, after market seat, touring screen,
heated grips, engine guard, and you'll easily be at 15K

Not to bash the 07 but it's not for me I'll stick with the old
outdated 05. :)
