hi all. in another post, propforward commented that the popping on deceleration on my bike could be attributed to a leak in the exhaust system. a dumb question, how do you all go about checking for leaks? do you all just go through and try to tighten all the bolts a little more or what? thanks, keith

with the bike running you hold a wet shop rag against the tip of the muffler (holding it closed) and listen for air leaking out of the connections. Also, you could pull the mufflers off and seal the joints with red RTV and let it cure overnight.

The small leak I had where my stock mufflers joined the headers was visible by the small black streak it left. I scrubbed it off and sealed it properly when I installed the Staintunes.
